Passenger train fares increased
From November 1, train ticket prices on local routes have increased.

According to Uzbekistan Railways, the tariff part of ticket prices for passenger trains on local routes increased by 44%.
One can also see the amount changes in online checkouts. For example, on June 19, 2023, the ticket price of the “Afrosiyob” train traveling from Tashkent to Bukhara was 173,000 soums, but now it rose to 280,000 soums.
Also, the fare for the “Sharq” high-speed passenger train from Tashkent to Navoi is now 132,180 soums. Previously, it was 92,000 soums.
Prices for “Afrosiyob” trains:
Tashkent - Bukhara - Tashkent
• VIP - 530,000 soums;
• Business - 385,000 soums;
• Economy - 280,000 soums;
Tashkent - Karshi - Tashkent
• VIP - 455,000 soums;
• Business - 325,000 soums;
• Economy - 235,000 soums;
Tashkent - Samarkand - Tashkent
• VIP - 330,000 soums
• Business - 230,000 soums
• Economy - 170,000 soums.
Earlier, Uzbekistan Railways JSC announced that the prices would be increased by up to 100 percent from October 20.
Later, the press secretary of the organization, Alisher Boltaboyev, said that the ticket prices would not be increased from that date, “the rates are being revised and the price changes will be implemented step by step,” he said back then.
