Private airline Air Samarkand receives its first Airbus A330 aircraft
The carrier plans to operate flights to Southeast Asia, Turkey, China and the Middle East.
The private air carrier Air Samarkand received the first Airbus A330-300 aircraft, the company’s press service reported.
On November 2, the aircraft landed at Samarkand International Airport. The airliner’s capacity is 277 passengers, and its flight range is more than 11 thousand km. The aircraft, owned by the Chinese company Minsheng Financial Leasing, was produced in 2010 in Toulouse. Until July 2022, the aircraft was used by Taiwanese China Airlines.
Soon, Air Samarkand will receive a medium-haul Airbus A321-200.
By the end of this year, the airline’s fleet will have five aircraft.
In the autumn-winter period, Air Samarkand will launch regular and charter flights from Samarkand to Southeast Asia, Turkey, China and the Middle East.
The private air carrier Air Samarkand appeared in December last year. The company planned to operate flights to 14 cities in Russia and Asian countries on two medium-haul Airbus A320 aircraft with a full economy configuration. The airline chose Samarkand International Airport as its base.
