According to the Ministry of Trade, it was associated with the production of drones for the Russian army.
The US Department of Commerce has imposed export restrictions against 13 companies associated with the Russian military industry. One company from Uzbekistan was included in their number.
According to the Bureau of Industry and Security, the companies were engaged in activities “contrary to the interests of national security and foreign policy of the United States” – namely, the purchase and creation of unmanned aerial vehicles for the Russian army. They are included in a special export control list (Entity List).
Among others, the Tashkent company Mvizion was subject to restrictions. According to data from the Unified State Register of Trade Organizations, it was created in June 2022 and is engaged in “wholesale trade of electronic, telecommunications equipment and spare parts for it”.
Igor Ievlev is listed as the sole founder of the company with 1 million soums of authorized capital. He is also listed as its leader.
In addition, the Russian drone manufacturer ZALA Aero was included in the sanctions list. It is part of the Kalashnikov concern, against which the United States introduced the first restrictions back in 2015.
Sanctions were also imposed against the parent structure of ZALA Aero – Aeroscan LLC. As RBC notes, this company, among other things, produces Lancet loitering ammunition (“kamikaze drones”) for the Russian Armed Forces.
The decision effectively means a ban on the supply of American goods and technologies subject to export controls. The restrictions will also affect products manufactured in other countries using US technology.
