Construction of "Zarchob-3" small hydroelectric power station kicks off in Sariosiyo
It will have a capacity of 16 megawatts and generate 70 million kilowatt hours of environmentally friendly electricity per year.
Renewable energy sources are increasing in the country. In particular, it is possible to generate "green energy" many times through one stream in hydropower.
Therefore, in accordance with the decision of the president on October 17, 2017, small power plants were also built on the Tupalang River. In particular, in December 2020, 37 megawatt "Zarchob-1" and in September 2021, 38 megawatt "Zarchob-2" hydroelectric power plants were put into operation. Today, they generate enough electricity for 48,000 households.
Another small HPP - "Zarchob-3" was designed in the lower part of the river. During the visit of the head of state, the foundation stone of its construction was laid.
It will have a capacity of 16 megawatts and generate 70 million kilowatt hours of environmentally friendly electricity per year. It is important because it is natural and renewable. Also, since other capacities are mainly produced during the day, this direction also acts as a rectifier in the energy system. The cost of electricity is also much cheaper compared to other sources.
According to the current system, river water under special pressure is first sent to Tupalang HPP. After that, it turns the bars at Zarchob stations, which are not far from each other.
Also, the private sector is giving ample opportunity to build micro hydropower plants. Legal and economic conditions have been created for this. In particular, a 20-year lease of land to entrepreneurs who want to build small and micro hydroelectric power stations, and a system of state-guaranteed purchase of electricity produced by them has been introduced.
