Uzenergoinskpektsiya conducts raids against businesses for wasting electricity
The Ministry of Energy called on entrepreneurs to save electricity, reminding them of a fine of up to 15 BCAs.
Uzenergoinskpektsiya is conducting raids in Uzbekistan against businesses for wasting electricity, the press service of the Ministry of Energy reports.
The department recalled that unnecessary consumption of electricity or misuse of electricity entails a fine on officials in the amount of 5 to 15 BCAs (1.7-5.1 million soums).
The onset of cold weather has led to an increase in electricity consumption by the population, the Ministry of Energy noted.
“In this case, we ask businesses to save electricity when consuming, and in cases where it is not necessary, disconnect electrical appliances from the network,” the report says.
In addition, today Khududgaztaminot introduced temporary restrictions on the activities of CNG filling stations. Due to a drop in gas pressure caused by increased consumption, from December 12, CNG filling stations will operate from 06:00 to 12:00.
Since October 1, the republic has significantly increased tariffs for legal entities for the consumption of electricity and natural gas. However, energy tariffs for the population remain at the same level.
