Ex-governor of Izboskan district detained
According to a Kun.uz source, Serobiddin Ismoilov, who has worked as the governor of the Izboskan district of Andijan region since 2018, is suspected of theft of land resources. He was dismissed on December 10.

Serobiddin Ismailov, former governor of the Izboskan district of Andijan region, was arrested. According to the Kun.uz source, he is suspected of making illegal decisions and allowing land theft.
The source said that on December 20, the former governor was attracted as a suspect in a criminal case under Articles 205, 229-4 of the Criminal Code and was placed in custody under Article 221 of the Criminal Procedural Code.
Ismoilov has headed the Izboskan district since 2018. He was dismissed on December 10 at a meeting chaired by Deputy Adviser to the President, regional governor Shukhrat Abdurakhmonov.
Serobiddin Ismoilov was born in October 1974 in the Altynkul district. Before becoming the governor of Izboskan, he worked in various positions, in particular, in 2015-2017, he was the head of the Andijan regional public education department, in 2017-2018, he was the deputy governor of the region for youth affairs.
It should be recalled that earlier, the governor of the Bekabad district Shukhrat Mirzayev, the deputy governor of the Namangan region Saidakhmad Sultonov and the former governor of the Bukhara region Khayrulla Jurayev were taken into custody.
