About 2 thousand babies born in Uzbekistan on the first day of 2024
The press service of the Health Ministry stated that the total number of newborns on the first day of 2024 was 1,859. Among them, 847 were girls and 1,012 boys.

Most babies were born in the Kashkadarya region (207).
Number of births in other regions:
1. Andijan region – 201;
2. Samarkand region – 196;
3. Fergana region – 195;
4. Surkhandarya region – 185;
5. Namangan region – 178;
6. Tashkent region – 172;
7. Tashkent city – 144;
8. Bukhara region – 86;
9. Jizzakh region – 78;
10. Khorezm region – 72;
11. Republic of Karakalpakstan – 67;
12. Syrdarya region – 42;
13. Navoi region – 36.
The press service of the Health Ministry clarified that out of 22 cases of twin births, 21 cases were twins, and in one case, triplets were born in the Surkhandarya region. A total of 45 babies were born.
For reference: on this day in 2018, 1,961 children were born, in 2019 – 1,708, in 2020 – 1,974, in 2021 – 1,644, in 2022 – 2,316, and in 2023 – 2,155.
