Most popular names in Uzbekistan announced

Last year, more than 24,000 girls were named Soliha, and more than 27,000 babies were named Muhammadali. These names have been topping the list of most popular names in recent years. The Ministry of Justice announced the names of the top ten in 2023.

During 2023, the registry authorities of Uzbekistan recorded the birth of 968,140 babies. 501,577 of them are boys, and 466,563 are girls.

According to the Ministry of Justice, the names Muhammadali and Soliha were the first in the list of the most used names in 2023.

Last year, 27,431 babies were named Muhammadali, and 24,365 girls were named Soliha.
