CB: Inflation expectations among businesses rose again in December

Inflation expectations of Uzbek citizens remained virtually unchanged in December, the Central Bank reported.
The average level of price growth predicted for the next 12 months remained at the same level as in November - 13.6%. The median indicator added 0.1 percentage points. and amounted to exactly 11%.
Respondents from the capital again gave the highest ratings - 16.5%, followed by Samarkand (15.9%) and Kashkadarya (14.3%). The lowest level of expected inflation is expected in Karakalpakstan (10.6%) and Namangan region (11.4%).
By occupation, inflation forecasts were lowest in food service (9.3%), followed by workers in personal services (10.6%) and transport (12.7%). The largest price increases are expected by IT specialists (16.8%) and builders (15.2%).
