Uzbekistan increases export of fruits and vegetables
In 2023, Uzbekistan exported 1.7 million tons of fruits and vegetables worth nearly $1.2 billion.
According to the Statistics Agency, the export figure increased by 1.1% or 18.9 thousand tons compared to 2022.
Russia (37%), Pakistan (16.7%), China (12.3%) and Kazakhstan (10.3%) were the main export markets of fruit and vegetable products, the agency said.
The export volume of fruits and vegetables during the reporting period:
— Plum (dried) - 36 thousand tons
— Grapes - 126.1 thousand tons
— Grapes (dried) - 57.3 thousand tons
— Peach - 87.2 thousand tons
— Melon and watermelon - 148.1 thousand tons
— Cherry - 45 thousand tons
— Apricot - 63 thousand tons
— Tomato - 57.5 thousand tons
— Cabbage - 97.2 thousand tons
— Onion - 299.6 thousand tons
