Public cable cars to appear in Tashkent (photos)
An agreement was reached between Chinese and Uzbek companies to launch a project providing for the appearance of cable taxis in the capital.
On January 23, a meeting of the Tashkent delegation, led by the acting governor of the capital Shavkat Umurzakov, with representatives of Beijing North Bartholet Ropeway Technology Co., Ltd. took place in the Chinese city of Shenzhen, the press service of the capital’s reported.
The parties considered several options for cooperation, as well as types and routes of proposed transport in Tashkent. The company's director for work with CIS countries, Bay Qui, expressed interest in cooperation and readiness to support all initiatives of the Tashkent side.
As a result of the meeting between JSC Toshkent Invest Kompaniyasi and Beijing North Bartholet Ropeway Technology Co., Ltd, an investment agreement was signed to launch the project. It is planned that this project will be aimed at duplicating ground transport with cable taxis and will be previously presented to the public.
Recommendations and suggestions from the public will be sent to the design office of Beijing North Bartholet Ropeway Technology Co., Ltd. The company, in turn, will ensure their implementation and operational management.
