Sunmun University from South Korea plans to open a branch in the Syrdarya region.

University President Son Jae Moon paid a working visit to the city of Gulistan. The regional governor Akmaljon Makhmudaliyev discussed with the guests the practical aspects of the implementation of the agreements reached earlier.

For the first time, the proposal to create a branch of the university was made during the trip of the Uzbek delegation to South Korea in December last year. Son Jae Moon confirmed his intentions and signed a memorandum of cooperation with the regional administration.

It is planned to open a new university in Gulistan. It will provide training in five areas related to the fields of IT and artificial intelligence.

The educational process at the university will be fully integrated with production. In the future, an educational cluster on its basis will be organized, in which specialists will be trained for industrial sectors.

Previously, Spot published an overview of the results and prospects in the field of education, as well as the reasons for the growing popularity of private universities.

For information, Sun Moon University was founded by entrepreneur and religious leader Sun Myung Moon in 1972. Now the university has seven main areas and 13 departments, including engineering, electrical engineering, pharmaceuticals, IT and tourism.
