Ministry of Defense denies rumors about downing of an Afghan military helicopter
The Ministry of Defense of Uzbekistan commented on a publication that spread on social networks about the downing of an Afghan military helicopter on the border of Afghanistan and Uzbekistan.

Russian political scientist Andrey Serenko published this information on his Telegram channel. He said that the helicopter allegedly took off from Mazar-i-Sharif to Afghan Badakhshan. “How it ended up in the airspace of Uzbekistan is not yet clear,” the author noted, adding that there were more than 15 people on board the helicopter.
“These reports have no basis and do not correspond to reality,” the Uzbekistan Ministry of Defense said.
The agency asked the media and social network users to rely only on official information and reminded them of their responsibility for spreading unfounded false information.
