Representatives of the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Austria took part in the tourism exhibition “Ferien Messe”, held in Vienna, and also held negotiations with a number of local tour operators.
Ferien Messe is Austria’s largest annual tourism exhibition. The main goal of the exhibition is to inform Austrians who want to spend their holidays profitably about the possibilities of traveling around the world.
This year, more than 450 stands of companies from 36 countries were presented at the exhibition area. The Czech Republic participated in this international exhibition as a “partner state”. The total number of visitors to the exhibition was about 40 thousand people.
On a separate stage, the participating countries presented their culture – music, dance and national cuisine.
According to experts, this year about 80% of Austrian tourists plan to spend their holidays mainly in neighboring countries and Mediterranean countries. Beach holidays are currently the most popular type of holiday among Austrian tourists. The following activities include city sightseeing, visiting historical monuments and relaxing on the mountain slopes.
The Uzbek side presented a photo and video presentation demonstrating the tourism potential of our country. Visitors were introduced to the rich history and culture of Uzbekistan, the names and heritage of scientists and thinkers who made a great contribution to the development of world civilization, unique cultural heritage, architectural monuments, cuisine and folk arts.
Representative of the company “lass uns riesen” (“Let’s travel together”), Kalya Hein spoke about what she saw and experienced during her visits to the historical cities of Uzbekistan, and invited the Austrians to visit our country.
It is worth noting that leading Austrian tour operators are showing great interest in the Uzbekistan market. Experts note that the number of Austrian tourists wishing to visit our country is increasing every year. This, in turn, requires local tour operators to prepare new and attractive offers.
This year, the season for visiting Uzbekistan by Austrian tourists begins at the end of March and will last until November.
The owners of the Austrian company “lass uns reisen” Kalya Hein and Clemens Waltzl in an interview with a Dunyo IA correspondent noted: - Our main activity currently is organizing tourist trips to foreign countries for Austrian tourists.
Every year we personally accompany many Austrian tourists to Uzbekistan who really like this destination. This year the trip will take place in September and we are looking forward to it.
In the future, our work to attract more tourists to Uzbekistan will become even easier. Thanks to the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Austria, we have established strong relationships. We exchanged information about all the important news of interest to tourists and agreed to widely promote the tourism opportunities and attractiveness of Uzbekistan for residents of Austria.
