Shavkat Mirziyoyev arrives in Dushanbe

President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev paid a state visit to Dushanbe.

President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon met the head of state at the airport of the capital.

In honor of the high-ranking guest, a guard of honor was lined up and the national flags of the two countries were raised. Representatives of Tajik youth and creative communities also took part in welcoming the President of Uzbekistan.

Later, the president visited "Dustiy" Square and laid flowers at the foot of the statue of Ismail Somoni.

At the high-level talks, the leaders will discuss issues of further development of Uzbekistan-Tajikistan strategic partnership and alliance relations, exchange views on international and regional cooperation.

In the program of the visit, it is planned to watch the concert of the masters of art of the two countries together and get acquainted with the exhibition of Made in Uzbekistan products.

As part of the state visit, a number of events are being held, including a women's forum, days of Uzbek cinema, a conference of intellectuals, scientists and historians, a festival of national cuisine and tourism potential.
