Employment ministry names Uzbekistan's largest employment providers

The Ministry of Employment and Poverty Reduction has named the largest job providing enterprises in Uzbekistan.

According to the ministry, as of April 29, 2024, the Joint-Stock Company Navoi Mining and Metallurgical Combinat occupies the first place, employing 48,308 people.

The second and third places are respectively held by Almalyk Mining and Metallurgical Combinat JSC and Temiryulinfratuzilma JSC, with 36,629 and 34,816 employees each.

The figures for the remaining employers are as follows:

- Regional Electric Networks JSC – 20,873 employees;
- Romstar Joint Venture – 18,800 employees;
- Uzbektelecom JSC – 17,641 employees;
- UzAuto Motors JSC – 16,628 employees;
- Hududgazta’minot JSC – 16,309 employees;
- Uzbekneftegaz JSC – 13,926 employees;
- Anglesey food LLC – 12,726 employees.
