Tashkent-Andijan toll road project estimated at $4.65 billion
The technical and economic work for the Tashkent-Andijan toll road construction project is expected to be completed by the end of June this year. Deputy Minister of Transport Jasurbek Choriev reported that the project road has a total length of 314 km and is valued at $4.65 billion.

At a panel session within the framework of the Tashkent International Investment Forum, Deputy Minister of Transport Jasurbek Choriev stated, "By the end of June, we will complete the technical and economic work. The new toll road will help connect Tashkent and other regions with the Fergana Valley. The project's total length is 314 km, and its value is estimated at $4.65 billion," said Jasurbek Choriev.
In addition, information was provided on the trans-Afghan railway, a long-standing goal.
"The project will help connect three countries — Uzbekistan, Afghanistan, and Pakistan. The railway will play a key role in creating the Eurasian transport corridor. As a result, the Central Asian countries will have access to the Indian Ocean port. The railway will reduce the delivery time of goods from 35 days to up to 5 days. The cost of delivering goods will decrease by at least 40%. The project is expected to be completed by the end of 2027.
Another crucial project is certainly the construction of the China-Kyrgyzstan-Uzbekistan railway. This will not only be a substantial railway for Uzbekistan but also for the entire development of Central Asia. The main agreements for the project have already been resolved, its cost is estimated at approximately $5.1 billion, and the length is expected to be 454 km," stressed the First Deputy Minister of Transport.
