Law enforcement bodies comment on information about abduction of children in Fergana and Surkhandarya
Earlier, videos circulated on social networks about children being kidnapped in Fergana and Surkhandarya. In one of the videos, a man caught a boy on the street and tried to take him away in the trunk of his car.
The Fergana regional DIA denied this information, telling the details of the incident recorded on video with the immersion of a child in the trunk of a car.
It turned out that on May 14, minor M.M. broke a neighbor’s window with a stone. The house owner, M.A., seeing what was happening, put the boy in the trunk of his car to intimidate him. At that moment, the child’s mother ran out into the street and a conflict broke out between the neighbors.
An administrative protocol was drawn up against citizen M.A. under Article 183 of the Administrative Responsibility Code of the Republic of Uzbekistan (Petty hooliganism). The case has been sent to court.
It is worth noting that information about the abduction of a Tajik child in the Surkhandarya region was also refuted. The regional police department reported that the video recorded a quarrel between residents of the Kumkurgan district and citizens of Moldova selling various home appliances.
