66,750 consumers across the republic disconnected from electricity due to heavy rains
Blackouts were noted in the Republic of Karakalpakstan, Khorezm, Samarkand, Kashkadarya, Bukhara and Tashkent regions.
According to the Ministry of Energy, as of 10:00, 190 6-10 kV feeders with a capacity of 274 MW remain in emergency shutdown due to heavy rains and winds throughout Uzbekistan.
“As a result, 66,750 consumers and small industrial enterprises in the Republic of Karakalpakstan, Khorezm, Samarkand, Kashkadarya, Bukhara and Tashkent regions were temporarily disconnected from power supply.
Currently, despite difficult weather conditions, special teams are eliminating all faults.
We apologize to consumers for the inconvenience,” the ministry said in a statement.
