Uzbekistan to introduce unified electronic population register
From January 1, 2025, a single electronic population register containing the civil status of individuals and other information about their identity will be introduced.
The presidential decree “On further increasing the responsibility of justice bodies and institutions and forming a compact management system within the framework of administrative reforms” was adopted.

Unified electronic register of population:
• is a single electronic database of personal data of citizens of Uzbekistan, foreign citizens permanently residing in Uzbekistan and stateless persons;
• is integrated with the information systems of relevant state bodies and organizations, and this register is used in the provision of public services to citizens, formalization of notarial acts, banking, utility, insurance and other public services;
• is managed by the Personalization Agency under the Ministry of Justice.
