Leading British financial institution to help attract investment to Uzbekistan
At the Embassy of our country in London, a meeting was held with the consultant of the London financial center TheCityUK Steve Byrne.
It discussed issues of establishing cooperation with British financial organizations and creating a financial center in Uzbekistan based on foreign experience.
TheCityUK is a non-governmental financial center operating in London since 2008. The organization includes more than 160 banks, consulting organizations and companies. 12% of the funds in the British economy are traded through this financial institution.
Steve Byrne highly appreciated the ongoing reforms to support investors and businesses in Uzbekistan, noting the rapid development of all sectors of the republic’s economy. He expressed great interest in the development of projects based on modern approaches in the field of finance.
Following the meeting, it was decided to establish regular consultations between TheCityUK and official organizations of Uzbekistan.
