Individual attempting to smuggle two hawk chicks detained in Tashkent region

At the Gishtkuprik border customs post, during an inspection of the luggage of a citizen who crossed the state border on foot, two hawk chicks were found in a box, the press service of the Tashkent Regional Customs Department reported.

Allegedly, the citizen did not mention birds of prey in the declaration and during the oral interview.

Currently, the chicks have been transferred to the capital’s zoo.

Customs authorities continue to investigate this fact.
