New tunnel opened en route Chimgan
The first stage of construction of a transport interchange at the intersection of Yangi Uzbekiston Street at the exit from Tashkent and the 4R12 highway has been completed, the press service of the MIA Traffic Safety Department reported.

The tunnel is open for transport heading to the Chimgan Mountains and the Charvak reservoir in the Bostanlyk district, Tashkent region. It is organized on highway 4R12 at the traffic light 400 meters after New Tashkent.
For traffic moving in the opposite direction, an exit has been organized from the 4R12 highway to Yangi Uzbekiston Street.
Traffic through the tunnel is prohibited for heavy vehicles and vehicles transporting dangerous goods. They need to follow through the intersection.
A radar with a speed limit of 60 km/h will be installed in the tunnel.
