“The consequences of the bloody war in the Gaza Strip, which has lasted for nine months, plunge us into deep sorrow. Nothing can justify the clashes, which led to the death of about 40 thousand inhabitants, especially women and children. We call for an immediate cessation of violent actions and an immediate start to the peace process,” Mirziyoyev said, speaking at an informal summit of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS) in Shusha.
The President of Uzbekistan once again emphasized that the main condition for ensuring strategic stability and peace in the Middle East is the creation of an independent and free state of Palestine.
Earlier, Mirziyoyev called the attitude of Western countries towards the situation in the Gaza Strip double standards. According to him, countries that widely promote democracy and human rights turn a blind eye to the killing of civilians.
