Tourism expansion and modern housing projects in Fergana presented to President Mirziyoyev
Shavkat Mirziyoyev reviewed the presentation on the creation of a tourism ring in the Fergana region.
Last year, Fergana was visited by only 430,000 foreign tourists, which is "not enough, considering the rich history and beautiful nature of the region," according to the presidential press service.
The goal of the tourism ring is to extend tourists' stays from 3 to 7 days and to double the number of visited sites.
To achieve this, the tourist routes will include attractions in the Fergana, Altyaryk, Kuva, and Uchkuprik districts. The route will consist of 577 points, offering 50 types of services.
Additionally, the president was presented with a project for the construction of a residential quarter in Margilan. The area will cover 110 hectares, with multi-story buildings housing 5,000 apartments for 25,000 residents.
"In many parts of our country, we are building new neighborhoods and towns. I am aware of the living conditions of the people of Margilan – their need for housing. Considering these requirements and desires, the dream of many families, we are thinking about constructing modern homes," emphasized Shavkat Mirziyoyev.
Moreover, it is planned to establish the Burhanuddin Margilani International Research Center, a Makom Art Theater, a Law Institute, and an Alley of Poets and Artists here. According to the project, there will also be 4 hotels, shopping complexes, and a park.
