Large Polish pharmaceutical companies eye to cooperate with Uzbekistan
A delegation of the Polish Association of the Pharmaceutical Industry, headed by its President Krzysztof Kopiec, visited Uzbekistan on July 24-25.
The visit was organized by the Embassy of Uzbekistan and the Europe-Uzbekistan Association for Economic Cooperation.
The delegation included representatives of leading Polish pharmaceutical companies, such as Polpharma Group and Adamed.
During the trip, the Polish delegation held bilateral meetings with the leadership of the Ministry of Health of Uzbekistan, the Ministry of Investment, Industry and Trade, the Agency for the Development of the Pharmacy Network, the State Institution “Center for the Safety of Pharmaceutical Products” and got acquainted with the activities of the Tashkent Pharma Park cluster.
During the negotiations, the plans and opportunities of leading Polish companies Polpharma Group and Adamed to invest in the pharmaceutical industry of Uzbekistan, the conditions created for investors were discussed.
The Uzbek side presented information on existing opportunities and mechanisms for mutual cooperation with investors. In addition, plans for further improvement of the legislative framework for cooperation with foreign companies were considered.
Following the negotiations, agreements were reached on establishing further ties in the pharmaceutical industry.
