Uzbekistan appoints new Consul General for Vladivostok
Yusuf Kabuljanov has been appointed Consul General of Uzbekistan in Vladivostok.
Having assumed his duties, Kabuljanov met with the Commissioner for Human Rights in Primorsky Krai, Yuri Melnikov, and the leadership of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for the region, the Dunyo IA reports.
During the meetings, current issues of bilateral cooperation in the field of labor migration and the protection of the rights and interests of Uzbek citizens temporarily residing in the Primorsky Krai were discussed.
An exchange of views also took place on strengthening bilateral cooperation, addressing the conditions of Uzbek citizens in Russia, and instances of rights violations of Uzbek citizens.
An agreement was reached to conduct explanatory and preventive work in all investigative units of the regional Ministry of Internal Affairs to prevent violations of the rights of Uzbek citizens and to regularly hold events involving citizens of Uzbekistan to convey information about the latest innovations and changes in Russian migration legislation.
