Uzbekistan and Tatarstan to collaborate on electric train and metro car production
On July 29, the Minister of Transport of Uzbekistan, Ilkhom Makhkamov, met with representatives of the Russian delegation headed by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Industry and Trade of the Republic of Tatarstan, Oleg Korobchenko.
According to the Ministry of Transport of Uzbekistan, the meeting discussed the implementation of joint projects in the field of transport engineering development.
In particular, the parties exchanged views on the creation of joint capacities for the production of electric trains, passenger cars, and metro cars. They also considered aspects related to the deep localization of production processes.
Following the meeting, the parties agreed to continue joint work on the implementation of promising projects.
