Kyrgyz security forces detain Uzbek fugitive involved in large-scale budget fraud

A citizen of Uzbekistan wanted by Interpol has been detained in Kyrgyzstan, 24.kg reported with reference to the Kyrgyz National Security State Committee.
On July 26, security service officers detained 32-year-old S.I. He was on the list of highly dangerous criminals and had been placed on Interpol's wanted list.

According to the special services, S.I. and his accomplices prepared a fake customs cargo declaration, causing damage to the Uzbek state budget exceeding 12 billion UZS.
By the decision of the Botken District Court in Kyrgyzstan, the detainee has been placed in a pre-trial detention center. The investigation is currently ongoing.
