Latvia offers job opportunities for truck mechanics from Uzbekistan 

Latvian employers have announced a recruitment drive for truck maintenance mechanics, according to the Migration Agency's press service.

The job is open to specialists aged 25 to 40. Successful applicants will be offered a starting salary of at least €1,000 for the first three months.

Key requirements for candidates include:

•  Proficiency in Russian or English
•  Ability to work with heavy truck maintenance manuals
•  Skills in handling truck parts and bodywork
•  Experience with diagnostic equipment for heavy trucks
•  At least two years of relevant work experience

The employer will handle the processing of insurance, documentation, and work permits.

Applicants will be responsible for covering agency fees, training, visa costs, airfare, food, and accommodation on their own.

Recently, Latvian companies have also been recruiting auto mechanics and drivers from Uzbekistan, with salaries for these positions reaching up to €2,500.

In recent months, several EU countries have organized recruitment drives for workers from Uzbekistan. Germany invited 5,000 people for various jobs, Hungary opened positions for truck drivers, and Slovakia sought workers for auto plants.
