EU Commissioner for Agriculture to visit Uzbekistan
EU Commissioner for Agriculture Janusz Wojciechowski will visit Uzbekistan on September 5-6, Kun.uz reports with reference to the EU Delegation to Uzbekistan.
During the visit, Wojciechowski will take part in the international forum “Landlocked Developing Countries: Food Security and Sustainable Development Goals”. In his speech, he will talk about sustainable agricultural management methods and the EU’s consistent efforts to ensure food security in landlocked countries.
The Commissioner will also hold bilateral meetings with government representatives, including the Minister of Agriculture of Uzbekistan, Ibrokhim Abdurakhmonov.
“This visit is an important step in the EU’s consistent cooperation with Uzbekistan and reaffirms its shared commitment to addressing global challenges such as climate change, food safety and security, and achieving sustainable development goals,” the European Commissioner said.
