Kazakhstan selling Onix cheaper than the discounted price in Uzbekistan

In the 7th month of 2024, 10,350 cars under the Chevrolet brand were sold in Kazakhstan. This is almost 2.5 times less compared to the same period last year. It is noteworthy that Chevrolet Onix has become one of the most popular cars in the neighboring republic. This may be due to the fact that this model is sold in Kazakhstan at a lower price than the discounted price in Uzbekistan.

In July of this year, 2,376 cars under the Chevrolet brand were sold in Kazakhstan. This is 36.7% less compared to the same period last year.

The total figure for January-July 2024 was 10,350 units. For comparison, during the first 7 months of last year, 25,432 Chevrolet cars were sold in the neighboring republic.

The share of Chinese brands in the Kazakh car market is increasing. The sales volume of Chery, Jac, Haval, Jetaour, Changan, Geely and other brands has increased dramatically.

It is noteworthy that in July 1450 units of Cobalt (the 2nd most sold car model) and 579 units of Onix (the 5th most sold car model) were purchased in Kazakhstan.

According to Chevrolet-auto.kz, a number of Onix models in Kazakhstan are cheaper than the discount prices in Uzbekistan.
