US dollar exchange rate surpasses 12,700 UZS mark as Uzbekistan’s national currency continues to weaken
The national currency depreciated by 57.7 UZS in a day. Since the beginning of the year, it has dropped by 2.87%.

On Thursday, September 5, the Central Bank set the official dollar rate at its highest level since late May.
The U.S. dollar was valued at 12,707.95 UZS on the exchange, an increase of 57.69 UZS compared to the previous day. The national currency has been weakening for three consecutive days.
The dollar reached its highest level since May 24 and surpassed the 12,700 UZS mark for the first time in several months. Since the start of the year, the UZS has declined by 2.87%.
Commercial banks are selling the U.S. dollar at rates between 12,700 and 12,765 UZS, with the purchase rate ranging from 12,600 to 12,635 UZS.
