Uzbekistan and Iran play out a goalless draw in World Cup qualifiers
Uzbekistan's World Cup qualifying campaign continues with a draw against Iran.
The Uzbekistan national football team played a crucial match today, October 10, against Iran in the third round of the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers. Despite several attempts from both sides, the match ended in a 0-0 draw, with neither team able to find the back of the net.
With this result, both teams earned one point each. Uzbekistan remains at the top of its group with 7 points, maintaining its lead as the qualification rounds progress.
Looking ahead, Uzbekistan will face the United Arab Emirates (UAE) in their next match on October 15, which is expected to be another important clash in their quest for a World Cup spot.
