Six citizens of Uzbekistan died in a tragic road accident in Kazakhstan, four injured
A tragic road traffic accident occurred on October 16 in Kazakhstan's Mangystau region, resulting in the deaths of six citizens of Uzbekistan and injuries to four others. The victims were reportedly traveling back to Uzbekistan from Russia.
According to local police, the accident involved a passenger vehicle, identified as a Jac brand car, which collided with a MAN cargo truck that was parked at a roadside near a border crossing.
"There were a total of ten people in the vehicle. Four individuals have been hospitalized at the central hospital in the Beyneu district. Their condition is classified as moderately severe, and they are receiving comprehensive medical treatment. Unfortunately, six individuals lost their lives as a result of this incident," stated the Mangystau Regional Department of Internal Affairs.
All vehicles involved in the accident were registered in Uzbekistan, confirming that all the deceased were Uzbek nationals. The victims were on their way home after a stay in the Russian Federation.
Authorities have initiated a preliminary investigation into the circumstances of the accident, and Uzbekistan's Consulate General in Aktau has been notified about the incident.
