Criminal case opened over assassination attempt on Komil Allamjonov
A criminal case has been opened following an armed attack on Komil Allamjonov, former head of the Presidential Administration's Information Policy Department. The incident is being investigated under Article 25, Section 97 of the Criminal Code, which pertains to attempted premeditated murder.

According to the Prosecutor General's Office, the attack occurred on October 26 at around 1:40 a.m. when a Range Rover, driven by a citizen identified as S.S., was traveling along Ifor Street in the Qibray district. Two unidentified individuals fired several shots at the vehicle before fleeing the scene. Fortunately, no injuries were reported.
In response to the incident, a swift investigation has been launched, with a team of experienced law enforcement officers conducting search operations to identify and apprehend the suspects. The authorities are actively pursuing all leads to ensure the perpetrators are brought to justice.
Reports indicate that the attack took place near Allamjonov's residence in Qibray district around 1:30 a.m. Although multiple shots were fired at the car in which Allamjonov was a passenger, he emerged unscathed from the incident.
