Illegal gas usage in Fergana causes $130,000 in damages
Authorities in the city of Fergana have uncovered an illegal natural gas connection that caused an estimated loss of 1.6 billion UZS (approximately $130,000).
During an inspection in the “Shakarqishloq” neighborhood of Fergana, a greenhouse operator was found to have unlawfully connected their facility to the natural gas network without obtaining the necessary permits. The operator had been using the gas illegally for their operations.
A formal report was filed, and calculations revealed the extent of the unauthorized gas usage. The damages, totaling 1.6 billion UZS, have been documented.
The case has been referred to law enforcement agencies for legal proceedings, with authorities emphasizing the importance of adhering to regulations to prevent similar incidents.
