Uzbekistan and Russia to create new labor migration mechanism

According to the Migration Agency, Behzod Musaev, the director of the agency, and Mikhail Ivankov, head of Russia's Federal Labor and Employment Agency (Rostrud), discussed bilateral cooperation on this and other matters in Moscow.

It has been decided to implement joint projects aimed at establishing specialized training centers in Uzbekistan for citizens wishing to work temporarily in Russia.

The Federal Labor and Employment Agency will also closely collaborate with the Migration Agency to assess the activities of employers and determine their reliability.

Additionally, the two sides agreed that Uzbek labor migrants will be able to take a Russian language exam in Uzbekistan as part of the process for obtaining a residence and work permit (patent) in Russia. This exam will be available at the Tashkent branch of the Sakharov Multifunctional Migration Center (SMMC).

The meeting also covered issues related to simplifying the patent application process for Uzbek citizens and enhancing the operations of the Tashkent branch of the SMMC.Uzbekistan and Russia to create new labor migration mechanism
