Gas leak causes explosion in Gijduvan district

According to initial reports, gas leaked and accumulated in the house, and an explosion occurred when the light was switched on, igniting the air-gas mixture. No casualties were reported.
The incident took place on February 12, 2025, in the Gulistan neighborhood of Gijduvan district, Bukhara region. Officials from the regional Emergency Department and the Gijduvan district Internal Affairs Department, along with two fire-rescue teams, were dispatched to the scene.
Preliminary findings suggest that gas leaked and accumulated in the house. When the homeowners turned on the light, an explosion occurred, igniting the air-gas mixture.
A video of the explosion spread on social media, showing one of the homeowners running out of the house on fire after the blast.
No fire broke out as a result of the explosion, and there were no injuries or fatalities reported.
