Uzbekistan announces March 1 as the start of Ramadan 2025
In 2025, the holy month of Ramadan will commence on March 1, according to the Muslim Board of Uzbekistan.
According to the presidential decree, measures will be implemented to observe Ramadan in line with national traditions and values.
“In this blessed month, under the theme ‘Ramadan – a Month of Generosity, Solidarity, and Tolerance,’ special attention will be given to:
• Supporting initiatives that provide assistance to those in need and young people pursuing knowledge;
• Strengthening family bonds, fostering mutual understanding and trust within communities, and promoting values of respect, kindness, and compassion;
• Protecting the environment, maintaining sacred sites, pilgrimage locations, and cemeteries, planting trees, and ensuring that Ramadan-related activities adhere to moderation, avoiding extravagance.”
