The state-owned enterprise Navoiyuran has signed an agreement with the Kazakh company TOO Logistic Centre for the transportation of natural uranium to France via Russia according to data from UzRTSB.

Under the contract, the company will transport 500 containers from the port of St. Petersburg to Malvési, in Southern France. The total cargo volume will be up to 6,000 tons, with the contract valued at €9 million.
The shipments will continue until the end of the first quarter of 2026. Each shipment must be completed within 15 days from the time of departure from the port of St. Petersburg.
One of the key requirements is ensuring that the cargo reaches its destination intact and secure, in full compliance with the IAEA’s Regulations for the Safe Transport of Radioactive Material.
