Uzbekistan’s permanent population nears 38 million

According to data from the National Statistics Committee, as of July 1, 2025, Uzbekistan’s permanent population reached 37,859,698 people.

This figure represents a 2% increase compared to the same period in 2024.

The committee noted that 19.1 million of the population are men and 18.8 million are women.

19.3 million people live in urban areas, while 18.6 million live in rural areas.
