Uzbekistan, Hungary expand dialogue on counterterrorism and public safety
During an official visit to Hungary, a delegation from Uzbekistan’s Ministry of Internal Affairs met with senior officials from the Hungarian Counter Terrorism Centre.
The delegation was received by the Centre’s Director, Major General János Hajdú, who briefed the Uzbek side on the Centre’s core operations and organizational structure.
The meeting focused on cooperation and the exchange of experience in combating terrorism, ensuring public safety, and protecting the population.
Special attention was given to prospects for enhancing bilateral cooperation, training personnel, and sharing information. Both sides expressed a strong interest in deepening their partnership to improve the effectiveness of counterterrorism efforts in the region and beyond.
