Shavkat Mirziyoyev to visit Turkmenistan

President Shavkat Mirziyoyev will visit Turkmenistan on 4–5 August to participate in the Third United Nations Conference on Landlocked Developing Countries. He will also attend an event dedicated to preparations for the upcoming Consultative Meeting of Central Asian Leaders.
According to the presidential press service, the visit will take place at the invitation of Turkmen President Serdar Berdimuhamedov. The UN conference will be held in the “Avaza” National Tourist Zone, with the participation of UN Secretary-General António Guterres, heads of foreign states and governments, and leaders of international and regional organizations.
The conference agenda includes discussions on strengthening transport connectivity, simplifying trade procedures, advancing economic transformation, increasing resilience to climate change and environmental risks, and enhancing international cooperation in achieving the Sustainable Development Goals.
The adoption of the Avaza Political Declaration and a Programme of Action is also planned during the event.
As part of his visit, the President of Uzbekistan will also take part in a meeting focused on preparations for the seventh Consultative Meeting of Central Asian Leaders and will hold a series of bilateral talks.
