Ticket sales for football matches in Uzbekistan to move fully online with mandatory ID checks
According to a presidential decree, starting from March 1, 2026, anyone wishing to purchase tickets for football matches in Uzbekistan will be required to undergo personal identification. This measure is expected to help reduce ticket-related disputes, especially during major matches.

A new system will be introduced in which ticket buyers will be identified and tickets will be registered using modern technologies, including QR codes.
This requirement was set out in the presidential decree “On measures to digitalize and further promote the development of football in Uzbekistan,” signed on August 21.
Under the decree, from March 1, 2026, football tickets will be sold exclusively through a special online information system. The system will ensure the identification of buyers and apply matrix barcode (QR code) technology.
By the end of December 2025, the technical documentation for the information system must be developed and approved in accordance with established procedures.
The development of the system and its integration with necessary resources is scheduled for February 2026.
The responsible executors of this task are the Uzbekistan Football Association and the Ministry of Digital Technologies.
