Germany expresses gratitude to Uzbekistan for help with urgent evacuation of European citizens from Afghanistan

The German government has expressed gratitude to Uzbekistan for its support in the urgent evacuation of European citizens from Afghanistan through Tashkent. The German Embassy emphasized that the operation would not have been possible without Uzbekistan’s cooperation.

According to the official statement, Germany evacuated its citizens to safe areas and then facilitated their transfer to the country via Tashkent International Airport.

“We extend our sincere thanks to the government of Uzbekistan and all relevant authorities for making this possible quickly and efficiently,” the embassy said in its announcement.
