Uzbekistan’s envoy to Oman takes on additional role as ambassador to Lebanon
Uzbekistan’s diplomatic mission to Lebanon will now be headed by Abdusalom Khatamov, the current ambassador to Oman. He presented his credentials to Lebanese President Joseph Aoun.
During the ceremony held at the presidential palace, President Aoun conveyed his sincere gratitude and greetings to the President of Uzbekistan, noting the importance of the ambassador’s appointment for strengthening bilateral relations.
Khatamov had earlier arrived in Muscat on 4 February last year to serve as Uzbekistan’s ambassador to Oman. The following month, he presented his credentials to Sultan Haitham bin Tariq Al Said.
