President Mirziyoyev arrives in Azerbaijan on a working visit

President Shavkat Mirziyoyev arrived in Azerbaijan on October 6 for a working visit at the invitation of President Ilham Aliyev.

At Gabala International Airport, the Uzbek leader was welcomed by Azerbaijan’s Minister of Culture Adil Karimli, Head of Gabala District Executive Authority Sabuhi Abdullayev, and other officials.

According to the visit program, President Mirziyoyev will take part in the official events of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS) summit on October 7. The meeting, themed “Regional Peace and Security,” will focus on key issues of further developing and expanding multilateral cooperation within the organization.

Discussions will address prospects for practical cooperation in such priority areas as politics, trade and economy, innovation, investment, energy, transport and communications, as well as humanitarian affairs.
