Shavkat Mirziyoyev to visit Tajikistan

President Shavkat Mirziyoyev will visit Tajikistan on October 9–10 at the invitation of President Emomali Rahmon for a working trip.

During the visit, the head of state will take part in the second summit in the “Central Asia – Russia” format and in the next meeting of the CIS Council of Heads of State, both of which will be held in Dushanbe.

The agenda of the upcoming events includes discussions on expanding multifaceted cooperation – strengthening political dialogue, promoting joint trade, economic and investment projects, and developing cooperation in industry, agriculture, transport, energy, and infrastructure. The leaders are also expected to discuss the continuation of active cultural and humanitarian exchanges.

In addition, the presidents will exchange views on pressing international and regional security issues.

Following the summits, a number of joint documents and decisions aimed at further deepening practical cooperation are expected to be signed.
