Pakhtakor wins Uzbekistan Cup after controversial final
Tashkent’s Pakhtakor claimed the Uzbekistan Cup title with a narrow victory over Bukhara in a match marked by controversy and a mass brawl in the closing moments.

The final was held in Andijan on 29 October, where Pakhtakor and Bukhara faced off in a tense and hard-fought encounter.
The only goal of the match came in the 63rd minute, scored by Hojimat Erkinov, securing the win for the Tashkent side.
In stoppage time, Bukhara appeared to have scored an equalizer, but after a VAR review, the referee disallowed the goal for offside.
Following the decision, Bukhara players protested the referee’s call, leading to a mass confrontation on the pitch. Players from both teams clashed and pushed each other before officials intervened to restore order.
With this victory, Pakhtakor lifted the Uzbekistan Cup for the 14th time – an all-time record.
